McKeown Gift

Dan McKeown ’85 and his wife Heidi are the proud parents of Isabella ’18 and Desmond ’15. Dan comes from a large family with a long history of giving back to the local and broader communities in a variety of ways.

Dan and Heidi share the deeply held belief that a nurturing family life is essential to raising healthy, happy and capable young adults who are prepared to lead and make a difference in the world. As an extension of this, Dan and Heidi include their children in some of their philanthropic decisions, knowing that giving back is both caught and taught.

As they anticipated Isabel’s graduation, the McKeown family began considering designating a gift to CSB’s Illuminating Lives capital campaign to show their appreciation for Isabel’s educational experience and to support future students.

Isabel’s major is global business leadership and she has minors in economics, Hispanic studies and Latino studies. Recognizing the inherent value of providing students with similar academic interests a place to study and meet, the McKeown family chose to designate their contribution to the student commons near the economics department on the third floor of the Main Building.
