For many students, a seemingly small amount can be the difference it takes to attend Saint Ben’s. Take Sadé Lockhart-Bain ’19.
In 2017, when Hurricane Irma struck her home in the Bahamas, her family’s already-stretched budget hit the breaking point. Sadé didn’t have the money to stay at Saint Ben’s. Because of donor support, the college was able to increase her student work award by $2,000, enabling her to keep her dream of graduating a Bennie alive.
